Whangamata is a beachside community filled with approx 3,500 relaxed residents who love the ocean, the hills and living in this slice of coromandel paradise. We are proud to be encompassed by the coromandel ranges beautiful mountainous skyline and to have the privilege to arise each morning to glorious eastern sunrises with the ocean lapping at our toes on our pristine white sand beach. Our Main street is a rockin’ strip filled with outstanding cafe’s and eateries and boutique style shopping. During the summer months we are inundated with holiday - goers, drawn to experience a slice of what we are lucky enough to call home. Whangamata days can be spent surfing, swimming, paddle - boarding, mountain biking, fishing, or simply relaxing in this coastal haven.
